Team Events
Team events were added on June 2nd 2023 in Metabouncii, where events has two sides of a certain theme that is different every event. Users need to post into Metabouncii to score to your chosen team. The winning team with more scores wins the event. This type of event has been introduced with the Day vs. Night event, and later, Metabouween 2023 used the same type of event, adding new features.
Every team event may add at least ONE new feature to Metabouncii. It has been the case since Day vs. Night (adding the functionality), Metabouween 2023 (changes how the results work, and also changing so that can image posts can get more points for their respective team), Metaristmas 2023 (Top 10 Leaderboard that will happen EVERY team event starting this event), Ice Cream Battle (expanded the Top 10 feature by adding a badge system to Metabouncii), Space vs. Ocean (changed how Top 10 leaderboards and final results work.)
BOUNCING Polls' final poll decided Team Events' future. The winning option was so that Team Events would have re-runs, meaning that Metabouween, Metaristmas and/or Day vs. Night would make a return in 2024.

Reruns
After Metabouncii: Apocalypse, a Day vs. Night rerun is planned to happen.
Special Team Events
A Team Event is considered special when one or more of these conditions are met:
- Has a special logo that replaces the normal logo on the website;
- Special background with effects on the website;
- Has an event name that has some type of mixing words with the "Metabouncii" name;
- Has one or more website assets (team profile border, icons, etc.) modified to fit the event.
Features added
- Similar to Splatoon (1 and 2)'s in-game events, called Splatfests, team events has two teams where the user can choose to compete to.
- Users can compete by posting into Metabouncii. Image posting counts as duplicate posts on the final results as of Metabouween 2023. Replies counts on the final results as of Space vs. Ocean battle.
- On the posts page and on the user's profile page, there will be a border on their profile picture indicating which team they're on. This does not show up on the following/followers page.
- Users can check the current score of both teams at any moment by clicking the Event button.
- The themes and team colors vary by event. They will always change.
- The badge system was also added during Team Events. Currently, badges can only be obtained by getting a place on the Top 10 Leaderboard, and by participating in certain Team Events.
