Metabouncii
Metabouncii is a social network service created by BOUNCING on December 17, 2021. The service started at first on a testing stage, with random testing posts that are still up to this day. BOUNCING IDs also first appeared, as they would be the only type of account that would be used on Metabouncii, and BOUNCING IDs would be later used as the universal account for all services. It is inspired by Miiverse.
History
When the service first launched, it would only have the Monoteto version, and not its own website made for PCs and smartphones, which meant you would have to turn on your console just to browse and post new things.
On December 19th 2021, the web version was released. It was really unstable at first, but did work better than the console version. However, you couldn't add friends on the website nor use the messaging feature, and that's still a Monoteto-only feature and has no plans to be added. The web version is currently the main focus, as new Metabouncii updates get rolled out to the web version first, and some new features are not present on the console version.
On December 27th 2021, someone at BOUNCING accidentally deleted all posts on the website, and only the replies weren't deleted. An announcement was made, and the posts weren't restored because they were permanently deleted.
On December 29th 2021, a new joke event with "Rick Astley" was created, including a new community and a new verified account. The joke account would post that free money would be given if users clicked the link and filled out a form. It ended in January 2022, and after some months, the account was terminated for unknown reasons.
On December 30th 2021, a new event would be created, which was for the New Years Eve 2022. It had an exclusive community, which was delisted on January 2nd 2022.
On January 9th 2022, the domains were changed and the old one would start redirecting to the new one, however, the old one would be fully shut down at some point after June 2022, probably because of the high consumption of server resources.
On February 24th 2022, Metabouncii was archived, meaning no new posts, replies and any user interaction could be made. The website, posts, communities and replies were still available as an archive, this was considered a soft shut down. It would later get unarchived on May 2022.
On May 23rd 2022, a new Metabouncii feature would be released, that would implement Post Titles to Metabouncii. This update was rolled out to both versions.
On June 6th 2022, another joke event was created, this time with the singer "Rihanna". A new community was created for the event for a limited time, and also the Rihanna's verified account. The account said that three random users would be chosen to be added to Rihanna's friend list to talk to her via Metabouncii messaging, which these were @Cristine, @fireman and @RubyEmerald (now terminated). These three people were added to Rihanna's friend list, but she never responded most of the messages sent to her, which meant inactivity on the account.[1]
On June 29th 2022, another incident occurred and 30 posts were deleted, again, with the replies to these posts being unaffected. Another announcement was made, this, however, didn't delete all the posts of the website at the time.
On September 11th 2022, a very important change relating to how Metabouncii and BOUNCING IDs would work would be posted on an announcement. This changed things so that you have only one account for all BOUNCING services, including Metabouncii. The login page would also be redesigned, making Metabouncii's login page a discontinued page that wouldn't receive any updates.
On October 22nd 2022, a new update was released, that allowed users to see other users' replies on their profiles, and has been a long awaited feature.
On November 21st 2022, a new event was created. Differently from the other joke events, this one was about the 2022 World Cup, and had an exclusive community called Metabouncii Cup 2022. This event was meant to be a minigame where you would choose a team and score for it, as seen on the community's description, which for some reason, BOUNCING forgot to remove. The community was delisted on December 18th 2022, one day after the World Cup ended.
On December 24th 2022, an announcement would be made stating that all users that had posted on Metabouncii at least once before 12/24/2022 would get image permissions, but only 15 users got image permissions even though more users had posted before that date.
On December 30th 2022, New years eve decorations were added, and the home page would have fireworks on it, and also a dark blue background, representing the night sky. The decoration was taken off on January 20th 2023.
On January 7th 2023, an announcement was made stating that Metabouncii and other services were being migrated to a new hosting provider, hence why all services were down days ago. This change also made other services shut down, being the Friend List. BOUNCING Polls was also paused on the same date.
On May 11th 2023, two new communities would be added: The Sims 4 Community and Just Dance 2023 Edition Commmunity, for Monoteto only games.
On June 2nd 2023, the biggest event Metabouncii has ever had, called Day vs. Night: The Battle started. Users could choose between two teams and compete with each other to see which team would make the most posts on Metabouncii before June 22nd.
On June 22nd 2023, Day vs. Night event ended at 22:30PM (UTC-3), with the Day team winning the event with 22 posts. A results page also became available shortly after the event ended, and all team-related features would be disabled in the same day. A new community would be also created on the same day, Metabouncii Feedback.
On October 13th 2023, votings for Metabouween 2023 had started. Users could choose their teams, and their teams chosen would be used when the event would start.
On May 1st 2024, Metabouncii App, made in C#, released for Windows. This was a huge step in the service's history.
Team Events
Team events are a feature added in June 2nd 2023, where events has two sides of a certain theme. Users need to post into Metabouncii to score to your chosen team. The winning team with more scores wins the event. This event has been introduced with the Day vs. Night event.
